Hen Nights in Gibraltar and Southern Spain
A modern day celebratory part of any wedding is the traditional “hen party” and “stag night” that was originally intended as a celebration of the right of passage from single status to married life. Although the first recorded hen night dates back to 1887, as a gathering of women also referred to as “hens,” it wasn’t until the late 1970s that hen nights and stag parties became a popular part of the wedding culture.
As with any tradition or popular culture, hen and stag parties have gone through great transformations, over the decades and centuries of its existence. From a simple gathering of the future bride/groom and their respective friends, or perhaps their respective work colleagues, to elaborate parties that involve a trip to Las Vegas, perhaps a somewhat fuzzy memory the following morning and maybe one or two male or female strippers.
Here, at Hour Weddings, we know how to throw a good party. Organising parties, events and weddings is our business.
Share, with us, your vision of how you’d like your hen party or stag night to be and we’ll turn it into a reality for you, within our possibilities. However, let us just say that we did stun unsuspecting shoppers, and bystanders alike, when we filled the streets of Gibraltar with the Ghostbusters, so our possibilities are endless and we have no lack of imagination. That is what sets us apart from other event organisers on the rock and we’re proud of it.
Send us an email or call us. We’ll be only too happy to help you celebrate in any style you have in mind.
