Hour Weddings was established in Gibraltar in 2005 (we are the oldest wedding company!) and is run by CEO Monica Coumbe. Monica started out in her home office organising events and weddings, after leaving a job in gaming company as an events coordinator. Prior to this she was a travel agent!
Monica opened the Hour Wedding office, store and shop in 2012. Hour Weddings is the only wedding and events company with an offices and shop in Gibraltar. Monica started off on her own and then expanded throughout the years, hiring some really great people who help her run the show.
Monica was born and bred in Gibraltar. She has worked her whole life in events, weddings and coordination. She formed Hour Weddings when she found a growing need for marriage services in Gibraltar. She is a well-known part of the Gibraltarian community- this is of great advantage as she has been able to help some brides and grooms in very complicated tricky travel or marriage situations (she knows everybody!) Monica has arranged weddings in Gibraltar, Spain and Tenerife and will be flying her team over to the Caribbean in February to help her organise her own wedding! Her highlights have been arranging the Chief Minister’s wedding.
Sara, your wedding coordinator, comes to us from Sevilla. She has worked all over the world in events and weddings. She came to Hour Weddings in 2015 and works on our big corporate events and large scale weddings. She is very organised and knowledgeable in her field- clients have applauded her over the years for the great work she does.
Pablo works in admin and he has recently graduated from Sevilla University and therefore is fluent in both Spanish and English. He joined the team in January 2017 and helps with the accounts and websites. Pablo is also a core part of the‘setting up’ team. At large events, Pablo helps setting up and liaising with suppliers.
Bea is our creative stylist. She creates mood boards, presentations and pitches ideas to our clients. She is an interior designer by background and helps brides with décor and styling for their wedding day. She works with pinterest, so brides usually send her pics and she is able to create a real life version for her! She has a natural flare for colours and design and can cater to every budget.
